Safety First

AeroPalm Nav Aviation GPS is a valuable primary or backup aviatino gps for any aviator - the Palm Aviation GPS Software runs on a PalmOS device, independant of the aircraft power supply. In the event of an electrical failure it could still get you safely home (or to a nearby airfield. AeroPalm Nav now has Full Terrain capability on the moving map for terrain awareness.

HSI

Horizontal Situation Indicator (HSI)

AeroPalm Nav has an implementation of the classic Horizontal Situation Indicator (HSI). Lots of navigation information is shown on this page:

AI

Attitude Approxiamtor

AeroPalm Nav includes an Attitude Approximator feature, driven by GPS, that can help you keep your aircraft upright in the event of a primary AI failure during flight in IMC.

Map

Moving Map

screen148.jpgscreen139.jpgAeroPalm Nav has a 4-page moving map display showing terrain, waypoints, navaids, obstacles and airspace. Each map page can be configured with different zoom levels, waypoint & airspace types, track up, heading arcs and more. The map is interactive - tap on an icon or airspace to select it, then you can look up more information, or activate a 'Goto'. You can pan the map around by dragging your finger or stylus across the display to see ahead you. And with the interactive Flight Plan Editor function you can make in-flight alterations to your flight plan, such as adding approach procedures.

Proximity Waypoints

thumb_screen21.jpgThe Proximity Waypoints page shows nearest airfields, VOR and NDB navigation aids.

It is interactive, so that after selecting a waypoint you can view further information about it, or activate a 'Goto' Deviation to your flight plan.

Actvation of the 'Goto' button change your waypoint to the waypoint that is high-lighted.
